Course Content:

This course forms Module 3 of the safeguarding programme

This one day course looks at
• Salvation Army safeguarding policies
• Criminal record background (disclosure) check requirements and process
• Understanding risk
• Risk Assessment and Management Plan (RAMP)
• Workshops
• Questions and feedback

Please note: The 24 July 2019 is aimed at Homelessness Services Unit, Older People Services, Employment Plus and Anti-Human Trafficking, so will contain little corps focus. The training will focus on Blemished Disclosures which applies to volunteers and staff, so this day would also be useful for people who recruit and manage staff and volunteers

Who Should Apply?

Salvation Army officers and staff who line manage individuals that may have received a blemished disclosure and require a risk assessment.

When booking this course, it is recommended that you also attend Understanding Sexual Offending Behaviour.
