Course Content:

Strategic planning is about having a vision and creating a plan to get your team or organisation to fulfil it. This course takes you right through a strategic planning process with helpful tools, techniques and ideas for every stage to enhance your strategic planning skills.
This course examines tools and techniques for strategically defining a performance improvement project and aligning project objectives with organizational strategy. You will also develop and define critical tasks to achieve strategic results. Here, strategic planning will involve:

• Use a strategic planning tool to draft a strategic project plan
• Use a draft strategic project plan to write out pinpointed actions, key results, and a measurement system
• Complete a Performance Diagnostic Checklist (PDC)
• Identify potential strategic solutions based on the results of a completed PDC
• Identify ways to build stakeholders engagement into your strategic planning project
• Identify ways to evaluate and visually display strategic project data
• Use a tool to identify the organisations capabilities to sustain the strategic plan implementation on performance improvements
